Being in the foundation area for so long, have brought the Furtsenberg name known by many Medias and societies as one of the biggest donator to many non-profit and social-based community institutions. Donating in many sectors such as health, art, and environment, has given the Diller-von Furtsenberg Family Foundation many appreciations and tributes, one of them was given by the Whitney Museum. The Museum gave a tribute to Alex Von Furtsenberg for his commitment to the America’s culture and arts. The tribute was held on May 6th 2010 at the 19th annual gala of the museum.
The Whitney Museum’s tribute to honor Alex von Furtsenberg is only one of many other appreciations given by the public to Alex. It is because of his contribution to the public service, many people and lives are saved, many children are able to go to school and even raise their health from the health funds given by him.
On November 8th 2010, Alex also pledged an amount of $25,000 to support the Beverly Hills Police Officer Association. For Alex personally, many police officers have dedicated their live to improve and protect the community from any social treat; and because of this very reason he thinks that the department deserves the continuous support. The support of fund and financial was a medical fund to support the active police personnel from injuries and illness during their time in serving the local community. It was because of his help, many societies and communities in America are indirectly helped from the inside.
