In recent years, dogs have become an intricate part of law enforcement. Dog training for law enforcement purposes is critical in preparing them for their role in law enforcement. This type of training will have your canine performing more then basic guard duties, security, protection or agility exercises. In law enforcement your k9 duties are very clear, and the training program is designed to assist them in performing their duties to their best ability. All k-9 breeds have a unique sense of smell; dog training can hone those skills to find anyone whether it is a hundred yards away or in a place that no one would think to look.
Police canine training is very rigid because the dogs will be dealing with life and death situations. They are trained to find evidence at a crime scene, or to find lost or missing people miles away from where they were last seen. Dog training also teaches the dogs how to handle any type of disturbance including domestic.
There are many duties that a police dog must perform to be a viable part of police units, and the right training is critical. One of the toughest duties on a police dog is a search and rescue mission. Another of their most dangerous duties is the detection of drugs and explosive equipment. These two situations require that the police dog be highly trained and responsive to voice commands. This would also include the proper level of obedience so the canine barks,bites and will attack only when instructed and not because of a hostile situation. Professional law enforcement trainers from the top training schools believe that one police dog is equal to ten policemen.
The key to training a police dog effectively is that the dog and the handler must be compatible. If there is no chemistry between them, then the training will not be effective. A handler must connect with the dog, using a mix psychology, sternness, and understanding. The handler is the person who trains the dog; he or she also will be on duty with the dog so establishing trust is very important.
When a dog is being trained, a bond develops between handler and dog that reinforces the behavior that is to be expected from the dog. Some professionals disagree on the issue of using a collar during certain phases of the training. Whether or not this is true about the issue of using collars during training an agreed issue is that the handler must be able to see the potential that the dog has and what its strong traits are and work to develop them. Using positive reinforcement will make sure that the dog understands what the handler wants.
Dog training is not difficult if you understand your dog. In fact as you constantly and consistently vest time and energy into the training of your canine it will pay off. By constantly rewarding him or her for behaving correctly it will encourage the dog to continue striving for excellence.
There are other aspects of dog training as well; these include food, exercise and protecting them from danger while training. By providing a well-rounded training program, you will have a police dog that will be highly motivated to doing his or her job because they have a natural instinct to please their owners. When you follow a dog-training plan, you are nurturing your dog’s natural abilities to become the best.

Wednesday, June 30th, 2010I understand my current life clearly as a culmination of all my thoughts, feelings and actions I’ve had to date. Practicing the Law of Attraction is not a new concept for me. I was first introduced to God’s natural law all my life by the Bible and later reinforced by authors like Napoleon Hill, Wayne Dyer and Neal Donald Walsh. Simply put, “The kingdom of heaven is at hand.” Whatever you focus most of your attention on in life is exactly what is manifested in your outward experience.
We are spiritual beings having physical experiences. It took me a while to understand that every thought, negative or positive, is a creation, a prayer to the Universe (God). Depending on the degree of focus we give these thoughts, certain things become beliefs, which either manifest positive things or severely limit our lives.
I am made in the “Image and likeness of God,” a perfect manifestation of Him. God’s entire plan for me is one of complete and total “Well Being.” When Well Being is being manifested in my life, I feel really good. When I am blocking my “Well Being,” life becomes, sad, depressing and very difficult. Both of these contrasting experiences are as a result of what I think and especially what I’ve come to feel and believe. As a spiritual being, I am constantly seeking my connection with Well Being by daily prayer and conversation with God, declaring what I desire from the Universe and checking in constantly with my feelings and emotions.
I have learned to create my life. We are in complete control of all our outward experiences. Whatever I desire from God and His Universe, I first of all have to declare it according to His natural law. We are all great at declaring, because our entire life experiences, including the ones we are having today, started as a conscious or subconscious thought. The next step that happens is that God not only acknowledges my intentions, they are all answered without exception. The next step is where it becomes tricky and where most of us have problems manifesting. This step is another natural law called The Law of Allowing.
We are all ‘vibrational’ beings, meaning that through our thoughts and actions, we are always communicating our needs to the Source from which everything flows (God). However, in order to experience our desires that God has already provided for us, we must ‘allow’ it to become a part of our physical experience. To do so, we must be in harmony with those desires. We must spend as much time as possible feeling exactly how we would if we were experiencing those desires in the here and now. The Universe will then begin to match those good feelings and send to us the people, places and things we need to manifest those experiences in our outward life.
Subsequently, as things begin to line up and we become inspired, we must take action and act on those inspirations immediately. We must not find ways and reasons to disallow our dreams. We must commit to making our desires manifest into our physical experiences as God provides them. Do not let apprehension and anxiety hold you back, God will continue to provide the way and all that you will need. Concentrate at all times on the positive end result, not the conditions that you don’t want. Energy will flow where your attention goes and the Law of Attraction will grant exactly that which you focus on and that includes the negatives. Always remain with and feel positive about the end result of what you desire in life as often as you can.
It is also very important to be grateful in life. The more we are grateful for on a daily basis, the more abundance God will supply us. Wake up every morning and before getting out of bed, give thanks with corresponding feeling for what you have. Be genuine about it. There are many things that I am grateful for…I love my life! Being grateful and happy is an inside job and no one else’s. To be happy is to be connected with God, because Well Being is your birthright. According to the author of “Conversations with God,” Neal Donald Walsh, “SATAN is Seeing Any Thing As Negative.” Therefore, make happiness your #1 priority and you will always be on the receiving end of positive God Energy.

“Some justice is better than no justice at all,” says Jamie Foxx playing Nick Price, a Philadelphia prosecutor in charge of bringing justice to the two men that killed Clyde Shelton’s (Gerard Butler) wife and young daughter in Law Abiding Citizen. It’s a statement that speaks to the cracks in the American justice system and as a result Clyde is going to see to it these cracks are turned into canyons once he learns only one of the men will be sentenced to death while the other serves a meager three-year sentence. This is something Clyde simply can’t tolerate.Law Abiding Citizen is madness, mayhem and carnage all wrapped up into one big dumb actioner filled with plot and logic holes galore. Fortunately, it’s too much fun along the way to even concern yourself with the hows and the whys of it all. All you need to worry about is who is going to die next and how can it possibly happen?The meat of the film takes place ten years after the murder of Clyde’s family and for the most part in a Philadelphia jail as Clyde confesses to sadistically butchering the man that went free. However, there’s a twist, even while sitting in jail people connected to the case begin dying with the promise of more to come until the system is fixed. If that can’t be achieved — in Clyde’s words — “I’m going to bring the whole system down on your head. It’s going to be biblical.”

Clyde is one bad man and Butler fits the persona nicely, much more so than he fit into films such as P.S. I Love You. Jamie Foxx pretty much steps in and offers exactly what you would expect. There’s very little to Foxx’s game, it would seem, that we haven’t seen yet.Boasting a couple of co-stars you love to watch such as Colm Meaney and Bruce McGill, director F. Gary Gray (The Italian Job) fashioned a film far more violent than I expected and a lot more fun than it deserved to be considering its sloppy narrative.Scripted by Kurt Wimmer (The Thomas Crown Affair) the plot is about as silly as was Wimmer’s awful 2008 crooked cop feature Street Kings, but where that one relished in serious drama, this one bathes in destruction as you sit back and soak it all in, only hoping for more. Nothing that happens after this film’s opening ten minutes would ever actually take place in real life, but this isn’t a picture hoping to convince you it’s real as much as it wants you to behold the glory of its made-up reality as the action provided makes that a possibility.While making a worthy point regarding the American justice system, Law Abiding Citizen entertains to the point you don’t mind the stupidity it takes for each situation to occur. The ending is the most outlandish moment of the entire feature, but if you are having as much fun with the film as I was, once you get that far you won’t be too bothered.
